As part of a joint venture project with Seriti Coal Mine, Mitaa deployed community Wi-Fi infrastructure in Deneysville, bringing digital access to underserved households, schools, and small businesses.

In just 3 years, usage grew from 250 daily users to over 1,000 daily connections, reaching more than 3,600 unique users monthly. This growth reflects the real impact of combining corporate investment with community-driven digital solutions.

Mitaa, in collaboration with key stakeholders, provided affordable internet access to schools in communities surrounding Exxaro and Anglo American Platinum (AAP) operations. Through this initiative, we helped connect learners and educators to vital online resources in some of the region’s most underserved areas.

From zero connectivity to consistent Wi-Fi access, our deployments have empowered over 30 schools — enabling digital learning, boosting teacher capacity, and giving thousands of students a gateway to opportunity.

In 2020, the Pan South African Language Board (PANSALB) became one of Mitaa & Net&Tel’s first major clients. Through this partnership, we became the first 100% Black-owned service providers to successfully deploy a networking solution within a City Property-managed building — a historic achievement in South Africa’s ICT space. The network, installed at PANSALB’s head office, remains fully operational to this day, serving as a testament to the reliability, innovation, and long-term value Mitaa delivers. This project laid the foundation for everything that came after — and still powers the language of progress.
