a) If you come across any inappropriate or potentially illegal content while using Mitaa’s internet services, we encourage you to report it immediately. You can report such content by sending an email to Complaints@mitaa.co.za or Support@mitaa.co.za.
b) In terms of section 75 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (“the Act”), Africa Mitaa Digital Services (Pty) Ltd has designated the Internet Service Providers’ Association (ISPA) as an agent to receive notifications of infringements as defined in Section 77 of the Act:

Mitaa encourages individuals to report any infringing content through ISPA’s designated channels as mentioned above. By collaborating with ISPA, we ensure that all notifications of infringements are appropriately addressed and handled in accordance with the relevant legal provisions.
a) Mitaa and ISPA share the responsibility of ensuring a safe and secure online environment for all users. In line with this commitment, we have established a comprehensive takedown procedure to promptly address reported content that violates our policies or applicable laws.
b) There is no general obligation on Mitaa to monitor services provided to customers. However, when Mitaa becomes aware of any unlawful content or conduct, it is obliged to take appropriate action.
c) Mitaa does not knowingly host or provide links to unlawful content, except when required to do so by law.
d) If Mitaa becomes aware of conduct or content which has been determined to be illegal, it will suspend or terminate the relevant customer’s service and report the conduct or content to the relevant law enforcement authority. Mitaa will also report such cases and any action taken to ISPA within a reasonable period of time.
a) Mitaa has established a notification and take-down procedure for unlawful content and activity in accordance with ISPA’s take-down notification procedure.
b) When Mitaa receives a take-down notice regarding unlawful content, it will respond expeditiously to such notifications and take appropriate action.
c) Mitaa will submit a report to ISPA on the steps taken in response to a take-down notice within a reasonable period of 30 days after such a notice is lodged.
a) Mitaa will keep a record of all take-down notices received and any materials taken down for a period of at least three years, unless possession of such materials is illegal.
a) Mitaa and ISPA will strive to communicate the outcome of the investigation to the individual who reported the content, providing information on the actions taken, if applicable.
